To stay positive, bring in a little perspective, and lift my spirits while we're waiting to bring our son home, I've been thinking of some good things that will keep us busy during our wait to be a family of 3 over the next who-knows-how-many months. Here's just a few ...
- Set up guest room/office. This includes moving some furniture, setting up our guest bed, organizing things to free up the room I'm super excited about - the nursery!
- Clean out, purge and organize. I want to get rid of the excess, the things we don't need and live more simply. If we happen to find a few things to sell on e-bay or craigslist to make a little adoption money, even better :)
- Go on a long weekend trip together to celebrate 5 years of marriage in July. Very excited about this!
- Our first baby showers once we find out how old our son is - can't wait!
- Save up money/fundraise for our adoption
- Plan, paint and decorate our little guy's nursery
- Enjoy spending time with each other and being a family of 2 a little bit longer (although we're both excited to add to it!)
- Reading and learning all we can about becoming parents, about being a mom, about raising our son to love the Lord, and everything we can learn about and prepare for parenting an adopted child
- Attend an adoption conference
- Relax and enjoy the preparation and excitement of being an expectant mom. Like I've said before, just because I'm not physically pregnant, doesn't mean we're not expecting. This time is my "pregnancy". I want to cherish this feeling of anticipation.
I want to enjoy the here and now, not wish away today.

Lots of exciting things happening...with more to come. So proud of you both. :) Love you!
