Waiting and a Birthday

So there isn't much new on the adoption front this week.  Our social worker has the flu, so we've been unable to schedule our last visit.  We're hoping to get something on the calender this week.  In the mean time, we're doing some recommended reading the agency wants us to do.  We are going to be as prepared as much is possible for this little guy!  We are so ready for the home-study part of the process to be done.  I'm trying to be patient, but it's so hard when I just want to hold my little man already!  I miss him even though I've never seen his face ...  We just have to keep going one step at a time.  You'd think I'd be a pro at being patient and waiting by now ...

On lighter note, I think I may have taken the worst passport photo ever today for my renewal.  Why in the heck to they tell you not to smile?!  Needless to say the government officials will be the only people to see that thing!  Yikes.

In other news, I got to go home to North Carolina this weekend for my niece Adley's birthday (she's 2 today!).  She is the cutest thing, and so smart!  She was in heaven at her party, which consisted of about 3 kids and 30 adults ha.  All the people she knows and loves were there, and she just kept running around from person to person.  First thing when I pulled up Friday night she gave me a huge hug and kiss and said, "come look at the cows megan, they say moo!".  Love that sweet girl.  I can't wait till she gets to play with our little boy.  She will be so friendly and loving towards him.  Here's a few pics from the party.  Birthday girl had a good time, and she sure did enjoy her cake!
