Unlimited

Today at work I was talking with someone who has had a lot of obstacles in her life and recently was healed in a way that can only be contributed to the Lord.  She made a comment that brought tears to my eyes and an important truth to my heart.  She said since this experience, moving forward she was no longer going to limit God.  This recent miracle was something neither she nor her medical team was expecting, and God completely showed up and did what only He could have done.

It was such a great reminder that so often I limit God by my near-sighted way of thinking.  He has such wonderful plans for his children; plans that are good and wonderful - more than our human, near-sighted minds could ever possibly dream of.  When I take the time and look back, the Lord has been so faithful.  His plans have been perfect and good; bringing me closer to him.  Had my life gone according to my plans, I would have missed out on so much that the Lord lovingly had for me.  I shudder to think that we could have missed this beautiful, life-altering opportunity to be our boy's parents because we limited God by our unbelief.  We can't wait to tell our little man how he was God's plan for us from the start.

Many, Lord my God,

are the wonders you have done,

the things you planned for us.

None can compare with you;

were I to speak and tell of your deeds,

they would be too many to declare!
