This Beautiful Truth: Beach Week

Usually our family beach vacations are spread out a little bit, but this year, my family's followed soon after Brandon's. Can't complain about spending half of June by the South Carolina shore!

My family lives in North Carolina, so we don't get to spend a lot of time together. Trips are usually just a few days, so it's so nice when we get to spend a whole week on vacation with them. Last week, we went to Charleston, SC with my parents, my brother and his wife, and their little girl Adley. My parents rented a house by the beach on Isle of Palms, and we spent the week resting and enjoying each other's company.

I didn't open my computer once, hardly charged my phone, had no clue what date it was, got a tan, swam, went to a water-park, ate seafood by the ocean, rocked on the front porch, played games, sang silly songs, had a dance party, laughed a lot, went to a farmer's market, played endlessly with my adorable niece, and read 3 books cover-to-cover. Now that's what I call a good vacation.
